[14th Edition - MYC] More Improvements to Researching & Ideas

Good afternoon everyone!

Welcome back to the journey of building the future of higher ed social media intelligence.

Thank you for following along. If you're new here, the purpose of this newsletter is to keep y'all informed on what's working & new, and the occasional ask for feedback to help shape the product further.

I called in extra support this week, bringing my CTO, Kaleb, and Senior Engineer, Rashawn, into the office to focus and build. A lot of progress was made — unfortunately, much of it is behind the scenes in the sense of dealing with the Meta API, but nonetheless, progress is progress!

WHAT’S NEW

Improvements to Researching

A handful of improvements to increase the power of researching. You are able to order by number of comments to see which are generating conversations, you can filter by number of followers of the account making the post, & keyword search was brought out to emphasize how easy it is to find content!

Improvements to Ideas & Filtering

You are now able to create custom variables for your ideas and subsequently filter by them. If you have a column in your ideas spreadsheet that wasn't in Reach before, you can finally build custom views. On top of that, you can change what your views are grouped by if you want to mix things up!

Public Facing Sites

While we finish up remaining backend tasks, we are starting on the public-facing sites (which I hope signals a good sign that we're getting ready for a more public launch). Last week we had the Reach Report, and this week we're bringing in the Landing Page, Benchmarks, and a handful of miscellaneous pages. Let me know what y'all think!

CHALLENGES / ASKS / WHAT’S NEXT

DM Management

The CTO was tasked this week with getting DMs and comments to show up in the platform. He had to clean up some of my earlier code, but is sailing along in terms of getting that data to pass into Reach.

What do you need or want out of your unified inbox? Tagging? Priority levels? Etc.

As always, I appreciate you all for your help so far. I'm very excited to keep this going. Be on the lookout on Fridays for my quick updates.

We're always seeking your valuable advice and feedback. If you have any insights, thoughts, or ideas that you believe can contribute to our growth, we're all ears.

Thank you, once again, for being a part of our journey.

Best regards,

Blake
